From Idea to App: Building school solutions
This webinar explores how educators can use AI tools to enhance workflows and support innovative teaching practices.
About This Course
Until recently, building a web application required specialist programming skills and dedicated developers. As a result, schools typically relied on commercial platforms or external providers to solve digital challenges.
AI-assisted development tools are rapidly changing this landscape. Educators can now design and build their own applications using platforms that generate much of the underlying code, structure, and functionality automatically. What once required advanced programming knowledge can often now be achieved through simple prompts, rapid prototyping, and iterative refinement.
This webinar explores how these tools are opening app development to educators. Using real examples developed at Harrow Hengqin School, the session demonstrates how AI-assisted platforms can support both classroom learning and school infrastructure.
While the webinar highlights tools such as Figma Make and Base44, the principles discussed apply across many modern AI app builders.
The core message is simple: educators can now turn their ideas into working digital tools.
By the end of this webinar, participants will have:
- Explored how educators can turn ideas into working tools without needing advanced coding skills.
- Identified real examples of applications designed to support both classroom learning and school operations.
- Discussed how Large Language Models (LLMs) can be integrated into apps to generate insights, automate processes, and support decision-making.
- Gained practical ideas for building small applications that solve everyday problems in schools.
